I’ve been invited to lead a discussion on crowdfunding and crowdsourcing on April  18.  With the endless stream of record-breaking Kickstarter projects in the media lately,  many businesses are wondering how the “crowd” can help them.  Are these community-based solutions a viable option for the typical needs of most businesses?  And what are the differences between crowdsourced, opensource, and crowdfunded approaches?

While I will go over the legal concerns involved in turning to crowdfunding and crowdsourcing  for your business needs (as well as the use of opensource resources), much of the evening will be spent on the practical considerations of using each option.
