LECTURE : Legal Basics for the Women’s Enterprise Development Center
Zak has been invited to present a legal basics session of the entrepreneurial training program offered by the Women’s Enterprise Development Center (WEDC). WEDC’s goal is to support and to empower women building successful businesses. It is the premier source of training, advisory services, and access to capital throughout Westchester County and the Lower Hudson Valley. WEDC currently offers this program in White Plains and Yonkers. Graduates of the program can benefit from on-going peer support, mentoring from alumni, and an opportunities to be awarded grants for their businesses.
This legal basics session of the multi-week training program will address a range of legal issues typically confronted by small businesses. These issues include selecting a business structure and the protection of limited liability, dealing with contractual matters, and dispute resolution. The current series of classes is closed but interested female entrepreneurs may apply for the Spring 2014 series.
Zak Shusterman is committed to supporting entrepreneurs and their new businesses.
